What style of singing do you teach?

Our teachers are professionals in everything they do. We teach the style that best suits your voice, your taste and your style.

Do you teach group lessons?

Yes, group lessons are available.

I've never sung before! Where do I start?

Well you have come to the right place! Our lessons will get the ball rolling and get you out of the shower and on to the stage! We teach technique and performance.

What age should I start singing?

Singing isn't something that everyone can do naturally so starting at a younger age is ideal however you are never too old to start. Our vocal chords are muscles and only practise and patience will create a singing voice.

Will my child sing age appropriate songs?

Yes. We believe that a child should sing songs that they have a connection to. If a child requests a song that we do not feel is appropriate we will always ask the parents permission before proceeding.

Do you do exams?

We do not offer exams at this stage however it is something we are looking into offering an an option in the future.

What do we do in a lesson?

Our lessons consist of Warmups, Exercises, Technique and Performance. The longer the lesson the more of these things we can fit in. Each lesson is different depending on the needs of the student. For example a newer student to singing would do more exercises and technique and a student with more skills will focus more on performance. Warmups take roughly 8-10 minutes and are a necessity for all lessons. Even if you warm up prior to the lesson, it is our duty of car to ensure a proper warmup is completed before proceeding with the lesson.

Is my child safe?

Yes. All teachers and staff that operate within the Off Centre Dance Co Building and the WSPC business must have completed an up to date working with children check. If you wish to check this information for your specific teacher please contact us.

Do I need to have a singing teacher the same gender as me?

Not really. When it comes to the comfort of our students, we find that most younger students prefer a teacher of the same gender however this does not mean that they are any more suitable to teach than a teacher of opposite gender.

Can I take fortnightly lessons?

Our Lessons are weekly only. We find the best education comes from weekly constant practise.

Im doing my HSC, can you help?

Of Course! Both Jayde and Ryan have completed music for their HSC and both achieving a score of 94. They both have knowledge of the HSC process and are able to offer advice during their lessons.

What ages do you cater for?

We cater for all ages! We just need you to consider if you or your child is able to stay focused for a minimum of 30 minutes and are your prepared to help them practise at home or have time to practise yourself. Group lessons are also sectioned into age groups.

Do you offer performance opportunities?

Yes! We love to perform! Our studio holds 2 concerts and two open mic nights each year - our parent studio Off Centre Dance Co also runs another two concerts a year where advanced students may be asked to perform. We also encourage students to participate in competitions once they are ready.

How do I get billed and pay?

Our fees are super easy! When you enrol you will be provided with your monthly amount which will be debited on the 1st of each month. The studio does not accept cash payments. Upon enrolment you will be asked to provide your credit card (or visa debit card) information for payments.

I have an audition coming up, can you help?

If our schedule permits we can offer a casual class for an upcoming event or audition. Our teachers have been there before and can help with the process. Ongoing classes are always recommended for building skills and a repertoire for the auditions that may follow in the future.

What is the cost of lessons?

Our pricing information is available on our pricing page! Please check there for up to date information.

Monthly billing? What about the months that there are holidays? Do I still pay?

Our monthly price has taken into account that there are weeks without lessons during holidays. Your payments are averaged over the year.

What is the benefit of monthly fees?

Our all inclusive monthly fees means you never have to spend any extra money on ‘extras’ that are added throughout the year. This gives you peace of mind and you can budget for other things. Also the debits are regular, the same time each month. No more having to wonder if the payments are on a pay week or not.

What if I don't like my teacher?

While we are confident that you will love our teachers but if for any reason there are any personality clashes our teachers are professionals and will understand if a student would like to try someone that may suite their personality better. We advise to give feedback directly to the teacher after a lesson to make sure that any issues are identified and hopefully resolved before it comes to this.

Are lessons private?

Yes. Our lessons are held in a sound proof room and parents are not permitted in the room unless invited. We may make exemptions occasionally for new students who may not feel confident to be alone with a stranger however we ask that parents do not intend to sit in on classes. Our studio is almost soundproof however a small amount of sound can be heard through the door if the rest of the studio is quiet.

Who is Off Centre Dance Co?

Off Centre Dance Co is another business that operates alongside WSPC. WSPC operates separately and you are not considered an Off Centre Dance Co student if you take lessons with WSPC. If you wish to also take lessons at Off Centre Dance Co you can find more information on their website

What if I'm nervous about singing in front of someone?

You would not be alone. Many students are nervous singing in front of someone for the first time but that is what we are here for! It is our job to help overcome it! We want you to be comfortable so we make sure never to pressure you or make you feel anything other than positive during and after a lesson.

I really want to do singing lessons but I am really nervous to perform. Do I have to perform?

You do not have to perform however we strongly encourage it. If you are not ready then you are not ready and that is okay. We will never pressure you into performing if you are not ready to do so.

Can I try one class or do I have to commit to the whole term?

WSPC offers a 30 day money back guarantee if you decide that singing lessons are not for you however we confident that you will love it. Check out our guarantee here.

I can already sing, Why would I need lessons?

Singing lessons are like guided practice where our expert teachers will offer advice and the tools to get better. There is always room for growth and having someone else there with you while you are developing further is wonderful.

Am I too old to start lessons?

You are never too old! Just give it a go and you will be surprised!

How do I cancel lessons?

In the event that lessons can not be continued you must notify us in writing to As lessons are paid in advance you are welcome to continue lessons until the end of that month. All inclusions that have not been received or redeemed are fortified and no refunds will be provided.

Where are you located?

We are located at 1/72 Argyle Street South Windsor NSW. Our studio is just a few hundred metres past Windsor RSL. Our singing studio is located inside the Off Centre Dance Co building,

What time are your classes on?

Our private and group lessons run from Monday-Friday from 3:30pm-9pm

What happens if I miss a class?

We understand that sickness can happen so we offer a makeup lesson credit if a lesson is missed due to illness. If you are sick, you simply let your teacher know and they will organise a makeup lesson. Makeup lessons are not offered if you can not make a lesson due to schedule conflicts or events organised outside the studio and that missed class is billable.

Can parents sit in and watch the lesson?

Unless absolutely necessary we prefer that parents are not in the room while lessons are taking place. We find that students with parents sitting in do not give their 100% and are embarrassed easily. During a trial lesson we are happy for a parent or guardian to be present.

Why did you change your name?

We loved our original name Learn2Sing, however found it was very restricting in what we could offer without it becoming confusing from a brand perspective. As we now offer music theatre and hopefully in future will offer other music styles like Piano and Guitar, our new name is a step forward.
